By booking a place on a Magic & Medicine retreat, you’re agreeing to these terms:

1. Booking and payment

• A non-refundable deposit of £150 secures your place.

• You’ll need to pay the balance four weeks before your retreat.

• If payment isn’t received by the due date, we may cancel your booking.

2. Cancellation and refund policy

If you book a retreat but then change your mind or realise you can’t attend, you have 48 hours to cancel and receive a full refund.

After that, these are our cancellation terms. All cancellation requests must be in writing.

If you need to cancel:

• More than 4 weeks before the retreat – you’ll receive a refund of the full amount you’ve paid, minus the non-refundable deposit.

• Less than 4 weeks before – no refund unless we can fill your spot, in which case we’ll refund you what you’ve paid, minus the deposit.

• There are no refunds if you don’t come to a retreat you’ve paid for, or if you leave early for any reason, including illness.

If you need to cancel because of illness:

• If you have a contagious illness (e.g. COVID-19, flu) or you’re too unwell to attend, we’ll transfer your booking to a future date.

• We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover last-minute illness or emergencies.

If we need to cancel or postpone:

• If we (the organisers) are unwell or unable to run the retreat for any reason, you can choose either a full refund or to change your booking to a future date.

• If the retreat is cancelled due to government restrictions, extreme weather or other unforeseen events (force majeure), we’ll offer you a refund or transfer, but we aren’t responsible for any travel or accommodation costs you may have incurred.

3. Health and wellbeing

• You are responsible for your health and wellbeing during your time with us.

• If you have any medical conditions, allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so that we can make sure we can cater for you safely.

• If you become unwell or injured we’ll do everything we can to help, but we aren’t liable for medical care or costs.

• Magic & Medicine is a tobacco, alcohol and drug-free space. Please don’t bring these substances. If you do use them here, we may have to ask you to leave.

4. Travel and insurance

• You are responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from Magic & Medicine.

• We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellations, illness and personal belongings.

5. Liability

• We are not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal property.

• You participate in all activities at your own risk.

• We have professional indemnity insurance, which covers claims related to the advice, guidance, or services we provide.

• We also have public liability insurance, which covers injury or damage to you or your property while you’re at Magic & Medicine.

6. Privacy and photography

• Sometimes, we take photos during retreats for marketing purposes, but only with your consent.

• We respect your privacy and handle your personal details with care. For full details on how we use and protect your data, see our privacy policy.

By attending, you acknowledge that this retreat is a personal journey and not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment.

7. Intellectual property

Everything on this website (images, text, design and layout) is the property of Magic & Medicine. You’re welcome to browse, but copying or reproducing any of it isn’t allowed without our permission.

Any unauthorised use of this site, including copying content, could result in legal action.

8. General

We sometimes link to other websites, but that doesn’t mean we agree with everything they say. Their views are their own.

If you use any information or materials from our site, it’s at your own risk — we can’t be held responsible. It’s up to you to make sure that the products, services and information are suitable for your needs.
