Women have complex lives. We suffer in lots of different ways - but most therapies only address one area.
To make real progress, you need to go deep with a mix of approaches that can meet you exactly where you are. We can help you do that, because we’re trained in many different therapies, including psychotherapy, EMDR, shamanic healing, health coaching and more.

Our ‘Feel, Heal and Reveal’ (your magic) framework is at the heart of our retreats.
In the words of inner child expert John Bradshaw, you can’t heal what you can’t feel.
DAY ONE:
The first day of your retreat is all about FEELING. Your body will be nourished with healing foods, you’ll enjoy yin yoga or a massage (if you want to), and you might do EMDR to help you process emotions that are stuck in your body.
DAY TWO:
On day 2, the focus shifts to HEALING. Shamanic healing, reiki, psychotherapy and health coaching help you to heal on all levels - body, mind and soul. You’ll also normally do a ritual or ceremony to help mark and crystallise the amazing healing work you’ve done.
DAY THREE:
Day 3 is about REVEALING your magic. That’s you, the only person who has your unique gifts to offer. You’ll be empowered by discovering your own magic, your inner guidance, and the allies who support and guide you. We’ll guide you in how to connect with your soul and follow its guidance, and help you develop concrete ideas for how you can embody this magic you’ve discovered, and use it to power a life that feels joyful and meaningful.

You get that this isn’t a ‘chill out’ retreat, but a powerful, potentially life-changing healing adventure
You’re willing to face your darkness, and discover your light (both can be challenging!)
You’re open to trying different therapies - anything from psychotherapy to health coaching to shamanic healing.
It’s probably NOT for you, if:
You want a retreat that’s mainly about relaxing and switching off
You’re not ready to face difficult stuff about yourself, your life or your past
Things like shamanic healing and Reiki are too ‘woo’ for you

What’s included and when is it happening?
Each retreat is created around our Heal, Feel and Reveal (your magic) framework.
But each one is different - because you are.
We use a detailed questionnaire, a consultation before you come, and guidance from shamanic journeys to put together your bespoke healing adventure. So you can trust that you’ll get exactly what you need to begin to move past your sticky stuff.
All retreats happen at the weekend, Friday afternoon to Sunday after lunch. Contact us to ask about availability.
Here’s an idea of what your stay could look like:
Friday: FEEL
2pm - 3pm: arrive and settle into the Soul Pod. Enjoy a heart-opening herbal tea, and snack if you’re hungry.
3pm - 4pm: nature walk in Oak Hill woods to help you set your healing intention. Making a statement to the universe helps supercharge your healing!
4pm - 6pm: rest, Yin yoga session or massage, if you’d like.
6pm: Dinner. A healthy meal designed to deeply nourish you and support your energy. Stir-fried teriyaki tempeh with green vegetables and shiitake mushrooms, umeboshi plum and citrus peel garnish. (Tara is a health coach trained in food as medicine, and your food will be seasonal, organic where possible, anti-inflammatory and delicious!)
7pm - 9pm: In-depth psychotherapy session with Bernadette, including EMDR, if appropriate, to begin the process of naming what’s happening for you and starting to clear blocks and fears.
You’ll be ready to drift off to sleep in the serene surroundings of the Soul Pod, and awake refreshed for the next day.
Saturday: HEAL
8am: breakfast. Amaranth porridge with chia and goji sauce and homemade oat milk. Matcha tea.
8am - 9am: Free time to journal, relax and read on the pink fluffy beanbag (we provide books to support your healing), or walk in the woods.
9am - 10am: Health coaching. Your body is the foundation for your whole life, and if something’s not right, it affects everything. We’ll talk about any health challenges you’re facing, and what you typically eat. I’ll recommend dietary tweaks you can make to help support your digestion, energy, gut health and hormones.
10am - 11am: Rest.
11am: Snack. Cacao and almond bliss ball and Coffee Addicts’ Delight healing elixir
11.30am - 1pm: Shamanic healing session with Tara or Bernadette - energy extraction, soul retrieval and power animal retrieval, to help free you from the energetic burdens of past events, difficult relationships and trauma. Your animal guide is a source of strength and protection for you.
1.30pm - Lunch: Miso soup with steamed cod (if you eat fish), spring vegetables, stir-fried kale, soba noodles and sesame seeds.
2pm - 4pm: Rest, walk, journal or read.
4pm - 5pm: Psychotherapy session with Bernadette, to prepare material for fire release ceremony.
6pm: Dinner. Black rice congee with super-mineral immunity - boost vegetable stock base, winter radish, pickled pink turnip and braised cavolo nero. These ingredients help support all your organs, and your kidneys in particular, as well as body and brain function.
7pm - 8pm: Carving sticks to transfer the burdens you want to release into them, in preparation for your fire ceremony.
8pm: Fire ceremony. We’ll sit together around the fire bowl, and, in sacred ceremony, we’ll support you in releasing your sticks into the fire to transmute the energy they hold. There is such a powerful transformation that comes from rituals like this. You’ll emerge lighter, freer, and full of hope.
Sunday: REVEAL (your magic)
8am: breakfast. Oat porridge with stewed apples and cinnamon, toasted seeds, homemade oat milk. Sencha tea.
9am - 10am: Reiki healing with Bernadette to support your energy and help you open to your higher wisdom.
10am - 11am: Together session. The three of us will talk about what’s happened so far, and how you’re feeling. This helps you to process the huge amount of healing that’s already taken place. Together, we’ll feel into what comes next.
11am: Snack. Pecan energy bites with Matcha-Chia Beauty Elixir (your skin will be glowing afterwards!)
11.30 - 1pm: Soul Magic session. Tara will guide you in an experiential session on how to connect with your soul, to help you to learn to navigate life by connecting with your soul, rather than conforming with the expectations of others or society. If you like, we can also discuss your soul purpose and how to discover it.
1pm: Lunch. Spring vegetable curry with chickpeas and brown rice, garnished with coriander and chives - all these ingredients help combat what Traditional Chinese Medicine calls ‘dampness’, which can show up as things like cellulite, or excess weight that’s hard to shift.
1.30 - 2.30 pm: Wrap up and review session, to help you process and integrate everything you’ve received. You’ll leave feeling energised and inspired, with a clear sense of how to move forward.















A week after your retreat we’ll check in with you on Zoom. We’re here to give you the support you need to make this a powerful springboard to a happier, healthier life. If you decide you’d like ongoing support from one or both of us, we can arrange that, too.

The Soul Pod is in Barnet, North London (we’ll send you the full address once you’ve booked).
Barnet is one of London’s greenest boroughs. There’s a lovely park and nature reserve at the bottom of the road - but it’s still London! We live in a normal suburban street, with neighbours and other houses close by. Although ours is a quiet cul-de-sac, there can be noise at times, as in any residential area.

Yes, we try to make our retreats as accessible and affordable as possible. If you’d like to spread out your payments, contact us and we’ll find a plan that works for you.

Yes, you can normally park on the drive.

No, all our retreats run from 2pm on Friday to 3pm on Monday. If you’d really like to come for longer, please get in touch and we may be able to arrange it.

We don’t serve coffee, as many people are addicted to it. Coffee activates your adrenal glands, and you need to be in pretty good health to enjoy it without it causing you problems. We do serve Matcha, Guayusa, and other sources of caffeine that don’t give you the jolt that caffeine does. If the idea of going without coffee makes you nervous, don’t worry! You’ll discover our Coffee Addicts’ Delight, a healing blend of medicinal mushrooms and cacao that can help you take a break from coffee, while it supports your health and immune system. We can serve you this every day in place of your coffee, if you like. Or if you want to use your retreat to kick the caffeine habit altogether, we’ll support you by serving you delicious caffeine free teas and healthy drinks. If you do plan to quit coffee, we recommend cutting down gradually in the run-up to your retreat, so that you’re not experiencing withdrawal symptoms while you’re here, doing your healing.

We do, if you eat them, but sparingly. Most of our food is plant based.

We can cater for vegetarian, vegan and lactose-free diets. Most of the food we serve at the Soul Pod is naturally gluten free too (although we can’t guarantee that everything we serve is completely free of gluten traces). Please get in touch if you have more questions, or different dietary requirements.
